How activation works
- Start the trial and receive your key
Your license key and installers appear on the secure purchase-confirmation page after Paddle confirms checkout. The readable key is encrypted during the limited delivery window; only its one-way hash is retained in the license database.
- Name and activate the computer
Enter the key when Service Desk first opens. The license is then assigned to that computer.
- Keep your access current
The app verifies the subscription about every seven days and can continue offline for up to 30 days, without extending beyond the current trial or paid access period.
- Move the license when needed
Deactivate the old computer from Settings before activating its replacement.
What activation does—and does not—send
The activation request sends the license key, a randomly generated computer identifier, the computer label, platform, and application version. It does not upload customers, work orders, invoices, vehicle or equipment records, inventory, notes, signatures, or backups.
Connection problems
If verification is due and the server cannot be reached, Service Desk continues under the current signed entitlement until its offline period ends. Reconnect before that date to refresh access.
Cancellation and expired access
Cancel before the 7-day trial ends to avoid the first charge. If you cancel after billing begins, full access continues through the current paid billing period. After access ends, MobileTech keeps existing records available to view and export while editing and new entries are disabled.
Deactivate Service Desk from Settings while the old computer is online. If the old computer is unavailable, email support@mobiletsd.com with the Paddle receipt to request an activation reset.
