Desktop data
Users may enter company settings, customer and prospect details, contact information, vehicle and equipment records, service history, work orders, quotes, invoices, inventory, expenses, notes, schedules, signatures, and uploaded company logos.
Storage and transmission
Application records are stored in a local SQLite database inside the current operating-system user's application-data directory. The standard application does not create a vendor cloud account, transmit operational records to the software provider, sell personal information, serve advertising, or use tracking analytics.
License activation sends the license key, a randomly generated computer identifier, computer label, platform, and application version. It does not include operational records.
Purchase delivery and license recovery use the customer's purchase email address to send the activation key and approved installer links. Transactional delivery is provided by Resend, which receives the recipient address and message contents for that purpose. See the Resend Privacy Policy →. Recovery requests are rate-limited using protected hashes of the email and network address; the public recovery response does not reveal whether an account exists.
The application may contact the MobileTech website once per day to retrieve the current release number, release notes, and approved installer address. The request identifies the installed application version through standard request information but does not include the license key, customers, work orders, invoices, vehicle or equipment records, inventory, notes, signatures, or backups.
Optional website analytics
The MobileTech website uses Google Analytics only after a visitor selects "Allow analytics." Analytics remains off when a visitor declines or has not made a choice. This website preference is separate from the desktop application, which does not use tracking analytics.
When allowed, Google Analytics may process browser and device information, the referring site, timestamps, pages viewed, and approximate location derived from network information. MobileTech configures the website to send only the page path: URL query strings and fragments are excluded because they can contain purchase, fulfillment, or recovery information. MobileTech does not intentionally send names, email addresses, payment details, license keys, or form entries to Google Analytics. Enhanced Measurement and Google advertising signals are disabled.
Google processes Analytics data under its own terms and privacy practices. Learn more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services →. Visitors can change their choice at any time using the "Analytics preferences" button shown on the website.
Subscription billing
Subscription checkout and recurring billing are provided by Paddle.com as merchant of record. Customers give billing and payment information directly to Paddle, not to MobileTech Service Desk. Paddle's handling of that information is governed by the Paddle Privacy Notice →.
To deliver and manage a subscription, MobileTech Service Desk may receive and retain the customer name and email address, Paddle customer, transaction, and subscription identifiers, purchased product and price identifiers, subscription status, current billing period, cancellation status, refund or dispute status, and related event timestamps. MobileTech Service Desk does not receive complete payment-card details from Paddle.
The purchase page stores a short-lived claim credential in the customer's browser session so the activation key can be returned only to the browser that started checkout. The readable key is encrypted in the hosted delivery record during the claim window; the license service retains a one-way key hash for later activation checks.
Purpose and retention
The software processes operational data to provide service-management, invoicing, reporting, scheduling, and recordkeeping functions. The customer controls what is entered and how long it is retained. Deleting records or uninstalling the application may not remove exported backups or copies held by system backup tools.
MobileTech Service Desk uses subscription and activation information to deliver installers and license keys, verify paid access, enforce the one-computer limit, provide support, prevent duplicate fulfillment and misuse, handle cancellations and refunds, maintain transaction records, and meet legal obligations. This information may be retained while the subscription is active and afterward as reasonably necessary for support, security, accounting, dispute handling, and legal compliance.
Customer responsibilities
The organization using the software is responsible for its own privacy notices, lawful basis, permissions, retention rules, access controls, and responses to data-subject requests. Customers should use supported security updates, device encryption, least-privilege access, encrypted off-device backups, and appropriate physical security.
Sharing and legal requests
The software does not automatically share operational records with MobileTech Service Desk or Paddle. Users control exports and sharing performed outside the application. Subscription and activation information may be exchanged with Paddle and service providers used for secure hosting, email delivery, fraud prevention, and customer support, subject to appropriate contractual and legal safeguards. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or necessary to protect legal rights and service security.
Children and sensitive data
The software is intended for business use and is not directed to children. Customers should not enter regulated or highly sensitive information unless they have determined that the software and their safeguards are appropriate and lawful.
Questions and changes
Privacy requests about operational records entered by an organization should be directed to that organization. Questions about subscription billing information handled by Paddle should use Paddle buyer support →. Questions about this policy should be emailed to support@mobiletsd.com. Material updates will be posted with a revised effective date and any additional notice required by law.
