Installation help

Install MobileTech with confidence.

Temporary directions for the current Windows and macOS installers while MobileTech completes developer verification with Apple and Microsoft.

Read this before continuing

The current MobileTech Service Desk installers have not yet completed verified-publisher signing and Apple notarization. Your computer may therefore display an Unknown publisher, Windows protected your PC, or Unidentified developer warning.

Only follow these directions for MobileTech Service Desk 1.0.17 downloaded directly from MobileTSD.com. Do not disable antivirus software, Microsoft Defender, Smart App Control, Gatekeeper, or other security protections.

Stop immediately if Windows or macOS says the file contains malware, will damage the computer, is corrupted, or has been modified. Delete the download and contact support@mobiletsd.com.

Windows 10 or 11

Windows installation

  1. Download MobileTech-Service-Desk-Windows-x64-Setup.exe from MobileTSD.com.
  2. Open the downloaded installer.
  3. If Windows protected your PC appears, select More info.
  4. Confirm the app is MobileTech Service Desk. During this temporary period, the publisher may appear as Unknown publisher.
  5. Select Run anyway.
  6. If Windows asks whether to allow the app to make changes, confirm that the app name is correct and select Yes.
If “Run anyway” is unavailable

Smart App Control or an organization's security policy may completely block unsigned software. Do not turn those protections off. Contact support or wait for the signed release.

Read Microsoft's SmartScreen guidance

macOS 12 or later

macOS installation

  1. Download MobileTech-Service-Desk-macOS-universal.pkg from MobileTSD.com.
  2. Try to open the downloaded package once.
  3. If macOS blocks it because the developer cannot be verified, close the warning.
  4. Open Apple menu → System Settings → Privacy & Security.
  5. Scroll to Security and select Open Anyway beside the MobileTech message.
  6. Authenticate with the Mac password or Touch ID.
  7. When the warning returns, confirm the app name and select Open.
Do not bypass a malware warning

These directions apply only to the ordinary unidentified-developer warning. Do not continue if macOS says the software will damage the Mac or contains malware.
