These Terms and Conditions are between the person or entity subscribing to MobileTech Service Desk (“Customer”) and Knowles Equipment LLC, the supplier of MobileTech Service Desk identified during Paddle checkout. Selecting acceptance at checkout, installing, copying, activating, or using the software means the Customer accepts these Terms.
Purchases and billing are also subject to the Paddle Buyer Terms → and Paddle Refund Policy →.
1. Subscription license
While the Customer has an active trial or paid subscription and complies with this agreement, MobileTech Service Desk grants the Customer a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to install and use the software for its internal business operations on one active computer. The license may be moved to a replacement computer after the prior activation is deactivated or reset.
2. Free trial, price, and automatic renewal
New subscriptions include a 7-day free trial and require a payment method at checkout. Unless canceled before the trial ends, Paddle will charge $29.99 USD per month, plus any applicable tax shown at checkout, beginning when the trial ends. By starting the trial, the Customer authorizes Paddle to make that first charge and recurring monthly charges until canceled. The subscription automatically renews for successive one-month periods after the trial. The price and renewal terms displayed at checkout control if they differ from this page.
3. Paddle billing
Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all MobileTech Service Desk orders. Paddle acts as the online reseller, processes recurring charges, issues transaction documents, and handles payment-related customer service and returns. Paddle’s Buyer Terms and Refund Policy also apply to billing transactions. MobileTech Service Desk remains responsible for the software, activation, delivery, and technical support.
4. Cancellation
The Customer may cancel at any time through the Paddle customer portal linked from the subscription confirmation email or by using Paddle’s buyer-support service. Canceling before the 7-day trial ends prevents the first subscription charge. After billing begins, cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period, and no further recurring charge is due after it becomes effective. Uninstalling the software, deleting local data, or stopping use does not cancel the subscription. A cancellation request does not itself refund a charge already paid.
5. Payment failures
If a recurring payment fails, Paddle may retry the payment and ask the Customer to update its payment method. MobileTech Service Desk may allow a seven-day full-access grace period beginning when the subscription first becomes past due. If payment is not recovered, the software may move to read-only and export access until the subscription returns to active status. Paddle may cancel a subscription that remains unpaid.
6. Activation and subscription access
The software requires initial activation and periodic subscription verification. A signed entitlement may allow offline operation for up to 30 days, but it does not extend access beyond the active trial, paid-through date, or an expressly stated payment grace period. When subscription access ends, existing local records remain available to view and export, while editing and creation of new records may be disabled. Canceling a subscription does not automatically delete the Customer’s local database or backups.
7. Restrictions
The Customer may not resell, rent, sublicense, publish, distribute, circumvent license or subscription controls, or use the software to provide a competing hosted service. Reverse engineering or decompilation is prohibited except to the limited extent applicable law expressly permits.
8. Customer data and backups
The Customer owns or controls data it enters and is responsible for lawful collection and use, accuracy, permissions, retention, exports, and backups. Operational records remain in the local application unless the Customer exports or separately sends them for support. Subscription cancellation, expiration, refund, or uninstalling the software does not remove exported files, system backups, or other copies.
9. Ownership
MobileTech Service Desk and its licensors retain all rights in the software not expressly granted. Customer logos, company information, and business records remain the Customer’s property.
10. Updates and support
Maintenance updates and standard product support are available during an active subscription as described on the MobileTech Service Desk support page. The subscription does not include custom development, future major versions, or compatibility with unsupported systems unless expressly stated in the order.
11. Product issues and refunds
Customers may contact MobileTech Service Desk for reasonable troubleshooting of a technical or product issue. Refund eligibility, review, approval, and processing are governed by Paddle’s Refund Policy and applicable law. These Terms do not add refund restrictions, exclusions, or conditions.
12. Disclaimers
Except where applicable law or Paddle’s Refund Policy provides otherwise, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, the software is provided as is. MobileTech Service Desk does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, uninterrupted internet or billing services, or that data will never be lost. The Customer remains responsible for tested backups and appropriate manual business-continuity procedures.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MobileTech Service Desk will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, business, goodwill, or data. Total liability arising from the software will not exceed the subscription charges paid for the affected software during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
14. Suspension and termination
MobileTech Service Desk may suspend or terminate access for material breach, attempted circumvention of license controls, fraud, chargeback, unlawful use, or a canceled, refunded, or unpaid subscription. Where practical and legally permitted, the Customer may export existing records before uninstalling the software. Termination does not affect payment obligations or other rights that accrued before termination.
15. General
These Terms, the Paddle order, the Privacy Policy, and the Refund Policy form the agreement governing the software. Paddle’s Buyer Terms and Refund Policy separately govern billing transactions. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected. A waiver must be written, and an unenforceable provision will be limited to the minimum extent necessary while the remainder continues.
